Welcome to the Gulf Coast CLT Capacity Building Institute (CBI) website. This is where all of the course materials will be posted, schedules will be maintained and general information will be available throughout the CBI.
The Gulf Coast Community Land Trust Capacity Building Institute (CBI) is a multi-faceted approach that will provide a comprehensive set of tools to participants who are interested in strengthening their existing community land trust or establishing a new one – whether it means adding a community land trust program to an existing nonprofit organization – or starting up a new community land trust from scratch.
The National Community Land Trust Network, through its Community Land Trust Academy, is offering this CBI focused on people living in the gulf coast states, which will begin in May 2011, with the following program components:
1) Two place-based trainings at Camp Beckwith.
2) Bi-monthly webinars and e-learning sessions,
3) Individual technical assistance (TA) for each participating organization.
Tuition for the Gulf Coast CBI is $150, and includes all classes, individual TA, and food and lodging at Camp Beckwith.
