Supporting Partners category for CLT Network

The CLT Network invites organizations who wish to support the organization, but are not eligible for membership to become Supporting Partners.  Supporting Partners are kept informed of our activities in the same manner as members, and are invited to participate in CLT Network meetings and activities.  The CLT Network has created the following three categories for support:

    • Individual: $100 (listed in Annual Report)
    • Basic Corporate: $250 (listed in Annual Report)
    • Deluxe Corporate: $500 (listed in Annual Report and on Website)

Dear Community Land Trust Colleague:

I am delighted to inform you that the new National Community Land Trust (CLT) Network will come out of the starting gates in 2007 to provide you with access to training, technical resources, and contacts to help you strengthen and grow your community land trust. I invite you to become a member so that you may take advantage of our offerings, and at the same time, strengthen our nationwide effort as we seek financial support and greater visibility.

In 2007 we plan to:

  • Establish the www.cltnetwork.org website as a robust, informative and comprehensive place to learn about community land trusts—for both the novice and the experienced practitioner. Work has already begun on phase one.
  • Provide in-depth trainings at the introductory, intermediate and advanced levels on topics unique to community land trusts through the CLT Academy.
  • Create and advertise the existence of a CLT Starter-Kit on-line resource.
  • Develop an on-line data management tool that will serve CLT needs to track information on homebuyers, tenants and properties.
  • Hire an executive director to advance the Network’s mission and work plan. Host an engaging, energizing, and educational annual meeting in the fall.

I invite you to join as an initiating member—each organization that joins in 2007 will be supporting our first full year of operations. Being a member is just like voting—every membership counts. If you are in a position to be generous, this is a good year to be as generous as you can. A strong show of support from members will lead to greater financial support from foundations and business partners.

We look forward to supporting you in your work to nurture and sustain healthy and economically diverse communities.

Very truly yours,

Elisabeth C. Byers
President,
